Snow Stars

It's beautiful outside; it looks like a snowglobe from the girls' window. At first glance the falling snow seems to be moving quick; as though eager to collect as one on the ground. But when I unfocus my eyes and shift my perception I can see the individual snowflakes and the seem to move in a slow motion. A winter dance. The white stars move and dance to the tune of a breeze playing an orchestra of winter wonderment. They twirl and glide and waltz outside my window; beckoning me to join them in the celebration of awe and beauty. I would love to run outside with Summer and Jaevin and lay on the blanket of snow on the earth's floor and gaze up at the greyish white sky and have white stars tickle my face and cling to my eyelashes. I'd love to make snow angels with them and laugh and throw snow up in the air in celebration of nature. I would love to make a collage of my big footprints with their tiny ones and spell our names in the snow. I would love to hug them and give them snow kisses and catch snow stars on my tongue with them.
But I can't. Jaevin is at school; Summer is at Joyanna's; and I am suppose to be completing my writing assignments.
So our winter wonderland celebration will have to wait.
